Wonderful German food in Hanoi ;-)

July 18, 2005 @ Goethe Institute Cafe, Hanoi

You see, I am from Malaysia. Pork is non-halal and usually served in Chinese restaurants. It is very hard to find a Western restaurants in Kuala Lumpur which serve 'pork'. However, my recent trip to Hanoi, I had discovered this decent cafe serves wonderful german meals.

I had only been there twice and tried two of their signature dishes. It was 'German Roast Pork' and 'Stuffed Cabbage'. The taste of the roast pork was sooo tasty. I could smell the aroma of the meat from the grill when I took a bit. Tender and juicy! I have not tasted pork this good.

The second highly recommended dish was, Stuffed Cabbage. It was actually stuffed with minced pork. It also came with a nice tasty caserole and mashed potatoes. Initially I thought it was light, as it was stewed and not oily. However, it can stuff you up like other meat dishes!

So when you go to Hanoi, try out Goethe Cafe @ 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ha Noi. I am sure you will not be dissapointed if you like pork dishes.
